To follow up this post here’s a further experiment with etching copper. I decided to actually make something rather than just carry on doing little tests. The etch isn’t as clear or as deep as I would have liked, I should have used nail polish as a resist rather than permanent marker (a ‘Sharpy’ knock off called ‘Shiny’ haha!) and I knew that at the time, but did it regardless. It was one of those moments ha!

Anyway, I had been inspired by a bracelet I saw in a magazine recently, which was made up of metal scales. I thought I could do something similar with some kind of etched motif on each. Originally I planned to have the scales rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the way they are currently, and I may still do that if I make another. I wasn’t sure how to make it work with the shapes I’d made, so that there weren’t lots of points sticking out, but I’ve since realized I could cover said points with lacing going down both sides, if any of that makes sense haha! I can see it in my head, but it’s hard to describe.

Anyway, bit of fun. I like the sort of grungy, primitive quality to it.

I have GOT to go to bed!

And I still haven’t posted anything interesting! I’m really failing at this blog business, sorry!

Anyway, love you all. I hope you’re all well and happy :)

Anonymous asked: What's one of your favorite songs as of right now?

Hmmm I don’t know, I always get different songs stuck in my head, but I wouldn’t say I have a favorite exactly. The first to come to mind is ‘If I Close My Eyes Forever’ (Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford) although that always makes me feel sad. And I love the song Don’t Fear the Reaper (Blue Oyster Cult) which I can kind of play on the guitar.

I only recently in the last year or so got into that kind of darker music, though I’m quite picky. I fell in love with some of Black Sabbath’s stuff, songs like ‘Black Sabbath’ and ‘War Pigs’. But at the same time there are Beatles songs (and even some of Paul’s subsequent things) which I’ll always have a soft spot for.

To be honest I don’t listen to music that much, except when I’m out for a run/walk, so lately I’ve been listening to some upbeat, pounding, driving stuff that isn’t necessarily my favorite, but it’s good to run to. Things ranging from Celtic bagpipes to ‘Love Gun’ by KISS haha! And ‘Woman’ (WOLFMOTHER), ‘Electric eye’ Judas Priest, ‘Ever Fallen in Love’ (Buzzcocks), which reminds me I love the song ‘Tainted Love’ (Softcell) for some reason haha! Oh and I like the Joan Jett song ‘Hate Myself for Loving You’.

As soon as I click publish I’ll probably realize I have a super favorite song that I completely blanked on haha!

To go to bed at a sensible time, or relax for a bit listening to Good Omens (written by Terry Pratchett, read by Nigel Planer), that is the question! … ?

Sorry I haven’t been around much, I will do that recording I promised, and I might even do some writing some time soon. But in the mean time, take care and as always feel free to stop by and say hello! I’m feeling a bit paranoid about annoying people at the moment, so I probably won’t say hello first, but I’m here (off and on) if you’d like to talk or just pass the time of day:)

Take care my darlings! I’ll try and post some interesting things soon.

I think I’ll listen to my audio book for about 10-20 mins and then make myself go to bed. Goodnight! xoxo

Can I just remind everyone that if you’re not 18 or over you shouldn’t be on my blog!

I’m sorry, but you know, some of the stuff I post isn’t suitable for ‘minors’, so come back when you’re older.

Anonymous asked: Hope you're okay!

Aww thank you! Yeah I’m alright, don’t worry, I just had a confrontation with someone and it left me not in the mood for tumblr the last few days, but we’ve come to an agreement and I’m more or less over it. Thank you for your concern :)

Excuse unrelated reposed picture :p

Goodnight my dear followers

I’ve got to get to bed, I really do! So I’ll catch up with you all soon, tomorrow afternoon probably. I’ll also try and post some more interesting things at some point, sorry I’ve been dropping the ball slightly,

Alright, bed time, bed time, Bed Time.

I accidentally stayed up playing a whimsical, strangely enjoyable side scroller / RPG called 'Dust - An Elysian Tail'. It’s really nicely illustrated and pretty well voice acted too. Kind of cool if you like that sort of thing (and I don’t always!)

To make matters worse we do the whole daylight saving thing here and we just to day went back an hour, so it’s 11:24pm new time, but 12:24 old time… oops!

Anyway, goodnight my darlings, take care! I’m going to try and do a recording of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven at some point soon, as an anon suggested, and also at some point if I can track them down and decide one one I might do one of the original Grim Fairy Tails, as was suggested by a sweet new friend.

Okay, byeeee! xoxo

Anonymous asked: In your rambles recording, you said you might read Grimm Fairy Tales and record yourself. Do you think, if possible, you could record yourself doing 'The Raven' by Edgar Allen Poe? Just a food for thought!

Oh that’s actually a really good idea, that almost appeals more than the Grimm Fairy Tales, as I’m more familiar with it, and also because I suspect the length could be more suitable, not that I’m sure how long the fairy tales are. Thank you for the suggestion, I may well do that some time soon!

I think I might actually get to bed before 11:00 tonight! It’s only 10:19, yes!! Haha ;D

But first here’s a silly, rambling audio where I talk about all kinds of things. So for the couple of you that seem to like the sound of my voice, and like listening to boring rambling, I hope you enjoy this :p

Take care my dears,

Goodnight! xoxo
